※ There will be a public talk show at Ohshima Fine Art from 6:00 pm and at MORI YU GALLERY from 6:30 pm in the same building.

Writer, Masahiko Shimada and musician, Keiichiro Shibuya, who are flag bearers from different genres of art, will join our exhibition artist, Sai Hashizume to discuss their approach to their creative works, themes, and creative process.
The word "art" derives from the Latin term "ars" which is analogous with a Greek word "techne" (etymology for "technique"), meaning "technology." In this talk, creators in the fields of fine arts, literature, and music gather together and discuss their arts from the perspective of "creation."
We feel that modern view of arts has been dominated by the subdivisions of different genres and categories. Therefore, with this cross-disciplinary talk, we hope to find a new angle to look at the art.

Masahiko Shimada
Born in Tokyo in 1961. Graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. While still in college, Shimada published his first novel, "Yasashii Sayoku no Tameno Kiyukyoku." Awarded Izumi Kyoka Literary Award for his "Higan sensei" and Ito Sei Literary Award for his "Taihai Shimai." He has published many works including "Akka" (Kodansha publishing Co. Ltd.,), "Tsurezure Oji" (Asahi Newspaper Publishing Co. Ltd.,), etc. He is a professor at the Faculty of Intercultural Communication at Hosei University.

Keiichiro Shibuya
Musician. Graduated from the Department of Composition at Tokyo University of the Fine Arts and Music. Established a music label ATAK in 2002. Obtained an Honorary mention in the digital music category of Ars Electronica in 2007. In 2009, Shibuya released his first solo piano album, "ATAK015 for maria." In 2010, he released a unique work, "Hour music –Theory of Relativity & Shibuya Keiichiro," a collaboration with the theory of relativity. Recently, he has produced music for the movie "Shinanai kodomo (Immortal Child)" by Shusaku Arakawa, and is also in charge of music for the drama "Spec."　 Shibuya will be travelling Europe from March to May of this year to participate in various concerts and installations.
