We are proud to present a solo exhibition of Kaori Watanabe at imura art gallery Kyoto. 

Watanabe’s work is based on traditional techniques of Eastern Asian painting. She had been drawing motifs of teenage girls with exquisite color and line.

In this upcoming exhibition “PRIVATE HEROINE”, we can see new motifs of grown woman, such as “femme fatale” or “Venus”.

この度、イムラアートギャラリー京都では三度目となる渡邊佳織の個展を開催致します。

渡邊佳織はこれまで、日本・東洋の古典絵画の伝統的技法や素材を用いて、鋭く繊細な線と色彩で思春期の少女を描いてきました。今回の個展で発表する新作は、純粋な魅力を漂わせる少女を描いた近年の作品から一転、女神やファム・ファタールをモチーフとして、哀愁と官能を描きます。今回の個展では、大作《プライベート・ヒロイン》を含め、2016年の新鋭選抜展の出品作品、小作品、ドローイングを展示致します。

甘露な時間をもたらす女性像の表現にさらに磨きをかけた渡邊佳織の世界を、是非ご高覧下さい。
